about

Wasted Fates creations have always been inhabited in a zone governed by tension. That which our senses experiment first and then our nerves are the vertigo of those who are being transferred from one place to another at high speeds, and we never know if its with our consent or against our will.

In his search for a hyper rave aesthethic, Wasted Fates has managed to propose a rhythmic and sonorous reality that could only have a place in Extasis Records, a place where our motto has always been: 1N†€®N€† 4 1N†€®N€†, establishing us as a label located on the web, based in microcommunities of the cibernetic underground. This is the place where we have dedicated to disseminate new sounds and proposals of experimental music that make "risk"one of their main characteristics and when they end up on the dancefloor, the artificial sensation and the volatility of the virtual universes lingers.

Electrical winds, percussions executed by tribes that inhabit the hottest and most inhospitable regions of #2ndlif3, magnetic waves and several other elements that may seem to have been collected by a field recordings hunter during his journeys on virtual landscapes is what forms Data Nomadics (Extasis020), Wasted Fates debut Album. But this is only a part of the constellations of elements that WF has been showing us since his previous EP –Through Beauty And Disillutionment (EXTASIS013)– The 16 tracks on Data Nomadics add up to a hurried expedition, restless, dragged by different moments of electronic dance – naming genres would only feel like the foolishness it has always been– with an iconoclastic approach, playing to reconstruct ruins to find a meaning and to start to repopulate with sound those devastated landscape.

The cover art made by Wasted Fates himself, a Hard Drive ruined by oxide and recently regurgitated by a pixelated ocean, is the perfect welcoming image for our imminent nomadic voyage through the information that this producer has been gathering and that he himself has worked on to invent.
